Mar 19, 2019

Nexans Kabelmetal Ghana Limited took part in the just ended 2019 Energy Commission’s Certified Electricians Graduation Ceremony held at the Energy Commission on Tuesday 19th March 2019. Every year, the energy commission organises special training courses for electricians in various house wiring modules to ensure professionalism in the electrical installation industry.

This year’s programme saw the passing out of more than 700 electricians in various programmes such as Certified Electrical Wiring Professionals (CEWP) in the Domestic, Industrial, & Commercial categories and Certified Electrical Wiring Inspectors (CEWI).

Nexans Kabelmetal Ghana Limited was a main sponsor for the Graduation Ceremony and over the years has played a key role in ensuring that programme comes off successfully. Mr. Samuel Tetteh, a Sales Manager of Nexans Kabelmetal presented the award for the overall best in CEWI and the first runner up for the entire programme.

Chairperson of the Energy Commission advised graduands to maintain high moral as well as professional standards in the execution of their work. He iterated the importance the commission places on quality electrical installations and encouraged graduands to insist on the best quality of work always to safeguard the safety of their clients’ lives and properties.

Mr. Awal Mohammed, a Certified Electrical Wiring Inspector and an examiner for the CEWI programme who also is the Brand Ambassador for Nexans Kabelmetal Ghana Limited was recognised with a citation for his selfless service and support for the program.

Mr. Samuel Tetteh, interacting with the media after the programme encouraged the public as well as the graduating electricians to always insist on the best quality materials to ensure the integrity of their installations and ultimately safeguard their profession: “You cannot guarantee the quality of your work with inferior electrical materials. At Nexans, we ensure that all our cables meet the best local and international standards. It is for this that we are always part of this programme to further assure you that we are a reliable partner in this noble profession. Feel free to contact any of our licenced distributors for your best quality electrical cables.”

Similar programme also took place subsequently in Kumasi (Ashanti Region) and Tamale (Northern Region) where about 500 and 200 electricians graduated respectively.

The Nexans Kabelmetal team took the opportunity to showcase our range of products in a short exhibition exercise. The graduates and well-wishers were thrilled by our portfolio of products.
